Sheared beaver fur is dense, silky-soft underfur, sheared to an optimal height. It is winter-quality, breathable, and odour resistant, composed of 10,000 fur filaments per square inch. This insulation layer is what enables beavers to keep warm while going in and out of freezing water in Northern Canada.
Always with the fur side touching your skin, match the shape of the warmers to the tops of your feet over your toes. Begin by putting your socks half over your foot and pushing the warmer down to your toes, then pulling the rest of the sock up holding the warmer down in the sock.
These warmers work best with snug-fitting socks and preferably a wool blend so there is both stretch and something for the leather to grip to. Adjust the fit with your fingers. They can also be inserted into socks and adjusted from the outside to fit.
Your body heat is stored within the fur and circulated back to your feet. This passive warming system does an incredible job of holding a comfortable temperature, keeping you warm but not too hot. We highly recommend the regular and thick for optimum warmth, slim for use in very tight footwear.
Take your Foot Warmers out of your socks after each use and lie flat. Shake and give a little rub to fluff up. If the fur gets damp, shake out the excess moisture, gently shape the leather, and leave out to air dry on a flat surface. Avoid getting wet and prevent contact with direct heat and lotions, perfumes, etc.
